Quail Hunts:
Beautiful farmland, hard flying birds and a well trained dog or two
make for one heck of a fun day of quail hunting.
Our quail preserve is a mix of hedge rows, cedar thickets, switch grass, lespedeza, milo, millet and buckwheat with all the cover and diversity a bird hunter could dream of . . . . . .
We offer half, full day and multi day trips on over 250 acres of beautiful farm land with your dogs or ours.
Woodcock Hunts
If chasing wild birds with pointing dogs over blow downs, dead falls and tangled messes of briars sounds like a great way to spend a few hours or a couple of days then woodcock hunting was made for you.
We have over 2 miles of Appomattox River frontage, hundreds of acres of flood plains, swamps, creek drainages and thickets, all prime woodcock habitat. An average day of hunting should led to many flushes, shots, and misses, Woodcock do not offer easy shooting. Quite the opposite, in fact! They are some of the most challenging and rewarding of all upland species. All of our woodcock hunts are fully guided.
You are more than welcome to bring your own dog to hunt in combination with ours. Many hunters choose to combine a day or two of woodcock hunting with a half day of quail hunting.
Full day Hunt………$300 per person
(2 person minimum)
